Streetstyle and runway looks from NYC, Milan and Paris Fashion Week were budding with floral prints for Fall 2017. I am not sure about Fall being all that fab since it represents the end of my favourite season of all..but for purposes of fashion, let’s pretend we love Fall (yes even though I am a September issue baby).
I am not the biggest fan of prints, but I do mix it up here and there for a change. You see me in a lot of black and white and strong one off colours all winter long as I tend to gravitate towards the serious lawyer OOTD all winter long. However, I love a fun floral print when the look is budding all around us.
Florals were spotted in all different shapes and sizes on the street and on the runway, from embroidered to patchwork in Gucci and Giambatista Valli. Since most of us can’t afford to bloom in designer flowers, here’s some ideas on how to translate the ultra expensive runway and streetwear looks, into daily affordable looks, which won’t have you breaking the flower pot.
First let’s take a look at these beautiful items we can’t afford.
Now let’s take a look at fun florals we can flourish in, at a very reasonable price. Thanks to our fave go to retailer for helping us stay on trend, on a budget. All these fab items are some of my favourites from Forever 21.
Wear this floral jacket with distressed jeans or a high waisted pencil skirt. You can go casual or dressy. $$39.99
Have a fun flirty time in this gorgeous off the shoulder dress. You can pair it with your platform sneakers, open toe shoes or thigh high boots. $30.90
Who doesn’t love a good kimono? With shorts or denim this kimono will have you looking like the Parisian fashionista taking her seat at Paris FW for only $22.90.
This is how you make flowers oh so sexy $30.90
If a lace up dress is more your style, rock this look with thigh high leather tan or red boots. This dress doesn’t have a slit but I would cut a great slit either on the side or in the front, and rock this dress out with the high boots….and trust me…you will look like you just came off the runway. $33.90
If a shorter kimono is more your style, just throw this on top of your jeans and t-shirt and you will instantly upgrade your look for Fall 2017. $22.90
Now you have NO EXCUSE to update your fall fashion on a budget. All it takes is a bit of fun, a slaying attitude and well about $30. Happy Fall Floral Styling My Lovelies! xoxo
