I am sitting at work when I get a frantic message from a fashion friend telling me ” you have to see this article in British Vogue.” Turns out my love of corsets has been splattered all over Milan Fashion Week. I love being ahead of my time, yet again. The last trend I started before it hit the streets was the cold shoulder trend. I have been rocking that trend for years until it became the hottest look of summer 2016. I would buy my shirts and tops in a size larger, just so I could wear them off the shoulder. Dah? It’s a no brainer. Loose and comfortable yet edgy and sexy. What took them so long?
Anyway, back to corsets and I am not surprised it’s making a come back. In my fashion mind and in my closet, they never went away. The trick is to wear it over your day clothes to give your outfit that much needed, I am gonna kick your !@#$ look right? This past week I experimented with soft pink and just like that, the corset gave this outfit a very serious attitude. Don’t be fooled by a woman in pink people! So here’s me and here’s those lucky fashion peeps in Milan, both in corsets, only hundreds of miles away.

I transformed my day look into a night look in 2 minutes. Hair up and sleeves down and ready for night time partying. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to change your purse.
