A black dress is never a bad idea. What makes it unique, and what makes it your own is how you style it. A shoe, a necklace, a blazer, a hairstyle. It’s all in how you package it. Two women can be wearing the same dress, and it might look different on each woman. I’m sure you have that little black dress that you can wear multiple different ways. Style it up. dress it down. Just make to your own and you will look fab.
Ahhh the love of red lipstick. In this photo I was trying to capture the red lips and the red roses. A perfect way to wear red lipstick is when you are wearing all black, or black and white. Of course you can wear it with many other different colours, but this is certainly a classic way to wear red.
I love nothing more than a big fat belt. My personal work style tends to lean towards pencil skirts, and being a petite woman, I love to cinch in my waist, otherwise I would look like a potato. lol So I pulled this corset belt out of my closet and was determined to make it wearable for work. This is my first attempt at making this work, and I will be wearing it many more times, creating magical outfits. My point is, I am sure that you have something hiding in your closet that you may not have considered wearing again. Di some digging in there and find something you can make work, for home, for work or for the gym. I have faith that you can make it work.
Last week we had snow in April and who would have thought I would still be reaching for the fun fur coat, and winter hat! Anything is possible, including perfecting your outfit.
Sunday night posting and who better to keep you company than Audrey? Okay she wore kitten heels, but her elegance and style were timeless. This got me thinking. Who would you consider to be a modern day Audrey Hepburn? Hmmmmm…..no names are coming to mind. If you think of someone, let me know. Maybe that could be a new blog post.
The cold weather had me wanting to wear a comfy and cozy outfit. What says comfort moe than a soft grey?
I have a new addiction to nudes, tans and blushes. These colours are all the rage this season and I can'[t get enough. These colours look best with the monochromatic look. See my earlier blog post. You would certainly rock this look. It’s easy, fun, effortless and it flatters all body types.
I love wearing nude tones with the vampy coloured lipstick.
Did you know that blue is the safest colour to wear for tv? Keep that in mind the next time you are prepping for a television interview. Everyone looks great in blue on TV.
Black and white is my GO TO lawyer colour. Nothing will ever replace the perfect harmony of these 2 colours. Want to make an impact with little effort? You don’t need to have a huge closet to make this work. You can easily pull this off my lovelies. Just give it a try.
More black and white. See how easy it is?
From the runway to the streets of NYC. This is how Rihanna interpreted the Gucci Spring 2016 runway look. It certainly looks very different on the runway than on Rihanna. Do you think she pulled this off? I love you Gucci but hmmmmm not loving this look too much. The flowers on the pants should disappear. That might make it more palatable. The pants should also be a but longer. The flowers on the pants and the jacket are too busy. I actually like the the runway look better.
