Ever since I was a kid, I could remember very vividly, my life in outfits. Until this day, I remember parties, dinners and events with exactly what outfit I wore. I still recall the bright orange A-line coat I bought one spring. I couldn’t sleep with excitement because I was so anxious to wear it. I guess I was born a fashionista. My little heart got very excited with every little outfit I wore, and things have never changed since.
Because I dress according to how I am feeling, every outfit has a mood and a story. A story that you dob’t get to see or read on my IG. Also because I can’t always keep up with my outfit pics on my blog (they go directly to IG but I don’t always catch up with my blog posts), I wanted to give my followers a glimpse of pics they have missed, or even just some insight as to what mood or funny story inspired my outfit this day.
This was a Monday outfit and I was really feeling like I needed to turn this day into a fun and exciting one so I created as much of a fun and interesting look that I could pull together.
I pulled my new coat out this day and my colleague and I were walking back from having a Ramen lunch (which I hate because I end up starving after 10 minutes and thirsty). The sun came out and we made the umbrella an interesting prop. I had my YSL shoes, Hermes bag and Forever 21 new coat. I loooove mixing high and low. It makes outfits so much fun!
I couldn’t believe how much I resembled my girl when I got dressed this day. I love this case dress because each time I wear it, it looks like a different dress! The resemblance is crazy!
I recall grabbing this fringe top in my closet and thinking “how do I wear this to work?” Well, I made it work somehow. It was a Thursday and I had a very early morning meeting and I remember walking into the boardroom and all my friends were like…”Looove that top.”
This Zara fringed top was huge hit on IG. For nights out I have worn it without a tank top and it looks wonderful. I turned it into a work appropriate top by adding a tank top, belt and big necklace.
I didn’t think too much of this pic but it was a huge IG hit. I call this my super hero dress. Add the case and I am a true supergirl.
This was a huge hit as well and I didn’t think it was one of my best pics.
This singing in the rain pic remains one of my faves.
Not sure what I was pretending to look at but it wasn’t the camera.
When I have such a busy day and can’t even muster 5 minutes for a pic, I get home and pose for FJ in the hopes of not missing an outfit shot. You can see what I mean. This is a little make up bag (I love all kinds of little are up bags) that I pulled out just for the pic. It actually holds all my hair doughnuts.
This was a huge huge hit on IG. I remember having a meeting with a bunch of mean who I knew were going to be in suits. This is my “I am a lawyer in a lawyers suit” kind of day, but I recall thinking that I have to have an edge and this was what I pulled together.
I walked up to my assistant and when she saw me she complimented me right away and said “give me the camera, I need to take your pic.” This was taken right outside my office – which was so messy – look at the Canadian Lawyer magazines on the floor! I have cleaned it up since.
On this day I recall being in an elevator and some gal commented on me looking like a Cinderella, going to the ball! I quickly responded, that’s right Bella and don’t you forget it!
This was the first day I wore my crazy and insane Brian Atwood shoes! Do I need to explain any further?
I wish I had a blooper video for this pic. My Louboutin heel got stuck to the floor and I was stuck in the revolving door when my colleague was taking this pic. We are laughing so hard. I couldn’t move until the wonderful and helpful man from our property management office came to unstick my heel. Luckily I had the City Heels plastic protector which my sweet friend bought me in Rome and my shoe was safe!
For this pic I wanted to get my huge oversized bun and my lawyer shirt in the pic. After all these years I pulled out my court shirt and decided to incorporate it into my work look of the day.
I was shopping at Maska, at First Canadian Place at BMO in Toronto’s financial district when I asked the wonderful Alexa to take a pic of my dress. The dress and the curtains made a great combo.
I was so thrilled when I found these super cheap boots at Forever 21 because they were over the knee and I swore I would never spend a small fortune on this boot type. Move over Stuart Weitzman!
Each time I wear my jumper its in a different way. This is the look I was feeling.
This Victoria Beckman dress is one of my all time faves. For the first time I added a white belt and these white booties for a fun and interesting look.
Inspired by the Victorian trend that is so on trend, I just created a little mystique with this one, where all the pieces, from the shoes to the top worked great!
It wasn’t a Friday but I wore jeans because I was supposed to be attending a legal conference and while I wanted to look professional, I wanted to be super comfortable. Chanel meets Pina kind of look.
Some days you want to look elegant but don’t feel like being in a suit or dress, so I went for the 2 piece.
This was a fun look to pull together. I started with the khaki and leather jeans but I knew it needed oomph and this is where it landed.
I really didn’t think much of this pic but it was a huge hit with my followers.
In Victoria Beckham, at the end of a long day and I really needed a pic. This is one of my faves because it has the Groove Girl logo which was a brand I created and am now thinking of bringing her back. Look out for GiGi!
Can we just do this picture?
Another look for my case dress. This time with big bow shoes and a plain belt.
My very first red carpet event! This was a night to remember. I met lots of followers, got my brand out and had my first interview as a blogger.
This is one of my very fave pics!
And here were a few more random but loveable pics that never got posted on my blog.
No words can express how much I love this Hermes bracelet!
Every gal should sleep in leopard bedsheets.
And every dog should be this stylish!
Fell in love with this bag from TopShop.
This is exactly what I try to do each and evert day! Start each day with a gratitude journal and laugh your butt off whenever you can…life is funny and short so get on with it!
