Apologies for the tardy updates (yes I update my blog very often and have been busy with vacationing this week – travelling and taking my fashion course – that it’s been quite hectic. I have so much to write about and update you on …so here goes. Lots of great outfit pics will be coming your way as well. I am back to my crazy normal routine now….so let’s start…
I LOOOOVE hats!!! I have a huge hat collection which I revamp every single season. There’s nothing like a hat to add a touch of instant style. Hats are a great reason to love the fall season (yes I am trying my hardest to love the colder weather). Thanks to fashion and updating my style closet, I can somehow manage to brave the change in weather. I am not saying I love colder weather as I would be very content living on a beach and having a collection of bikinis as my outfits….but at least I am trying here.
How To Wear a Hat Without Looking Like You are Wearing a Costume?
The way to wear a hat, without looking like you are in a costume is to make sure you wear it with a very streamlined look. You don’t want to have too much going on….a great St. Laurent inspired suit, a beautiful kaftan or a ’60’s or ’70’s inspired look with the matching styled hat – and you are looking fab without trying too hard.
The key is to draw your eye to the hat and not confuse the eye with too much outfit going on. I will take a pic of my hat collection for you next time and be sure to post it. Let me encourage my lovelies out there to try on a hat next time you are out shopping and dare yourself to wear one….you will instantly up your style game and feel glam!! You can pick one up for under $20.00….isn’t that worth your style time?
Since you all know that I have made it my life’s mission to find ways to look stylish and un-nerd- like in golf attire (hard to look descent in golf attire when you stand all of 5 foot 1 1/2 inches tall….really? with short legs and long shorts…I mean who could look like that???) …..well here’s how I took the challenge….managed to transform my look with simply changing my new Steve Madden booties (thanks Town Shoes) to golf shoes et VOILA mes cheries!! I must admit, I love a good style challenge.
